PURPOSE: To prevent impairing of the sense of release when roof of a car is removed, by dividing a removable into a plurality of pieces across the car width, furnishing a frame at either or both of the side edges of a certain panel section of those obtained by dividing, and thereby supporting the panel section adjoining to the first named panel section.
CONSTITUTION: A center roof is divided across the car width into an assistant side panel section 4 and a driver side panel section 5, wherein a center frame 20 is fixed to the panel section 4. When the two panel sections 4, 5 are removed, the area between the wind shield 2 and rear roof 3 becomes full open to give an ample sense of release, with the appearance also kept fine. When the panel sections 4, 5 are mounted, first the one 4 is pivoted at its right outside, and then the center side is felled, followed by setting over between the wind shield 2 and rear roof 3. Then the other 5 is pivoted at its outer side, and the center side is felled, which is followed by locking by a handle from inside the car cabin. These procedures shall be followed oppositely to remove the panel sections 4, 5.
