PURPOSE: To provide a divider capable of measuring a plurality of items such as length, angle and the like by a single instrument.

CONSTITUTION: A case 2 storing a measuring device is set at a part corresponding to a joint part of two legs of a conventional divider. One leg 1a is fixed to a rotary shaft extended approximately at a central part of the case 2 from a front face to a rear face and, the other leg 1b is fixed to the case 2. An opening angle of the legs is measured by the measuring device stored in the case. The angle itself or the angle converted into a distance (length) between front ends of the legs is digitally displayed in a required unit (inch, mm or the like). The angle can be detected with a rotary encoder, a potentiometer of the like, operated by a microcomputer, and displayed by a liquid crystal display. Since the microcomputer is used and an indication button is provided, the divider becomes multi-functional.
