Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tear strip made of paper overcoming the trouble of a known tear strip made of individual strings.
SOLUTION: A dividing device comprises a tear strip made of paper which severs a moving paper web as it is being wound onto a drum so as to enable the paper web to be wound onto an empty drum. In this dividing device, the tear strip is formed from a multiply folded paper strip and the piles 10, 11, 12 of the paper strip resting on one another are at least partially adhesively bonded to one another.
