PURPOSE: To provide a diving mask which eliminates distortion of the field of view below water, and which can be used by users with normal vision and nearsighted and farsighted users both below and above water.

CONSTITUTION: A flexible face body 14 and a generally hemispherically-shaped lens 12 whose peripheral edges are attached to the face body 14 are worn with the peripheral edges of the main lens 12 approximately fitting the contour of a user's face, and with the center of curvature of the main lens 12 coinciding with the optical nodal point or the center of rotation of the user's eyes 24. A lower lens for making it easier to view nearby objects is provided integrally with the main lens 12, and a movable or fixed corrective lens is provided within the diving mask 10 for correcting the vision of a myopic wearer or the like. The main lens 12 may be provided with a drain valve for allowing the user to expel water in the diving mask 10 by exhaling through his or her nose.
