To provide an excellent DNA damage control agent.
A DNA damage control agent contains an extract of a Pteridophyte Blechnaceae Blechnum plant as an active ingredient; preferably the Blechnum plant is Blechnum discolor. Preferably, the plant extract is extracted with alcohols or water-containing alcohols. Preferably, the plant extract is a water-soluble fraction recovered from the alcohol extract and/or water-containing alcohol extract.
