Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide DNA encoding improved TPA homologues.

CONSTITUTION: This DNA has a molecular weight of <90,000 dalton and the sequences of FK2A, FK2K2A or FK1K2A in comparison with natural TPA of FGK1K2A where F is the finger domain, G is the growth factor domain, K1 and K2 are each Kringle 1 and 21 domains and A encodes the TPA-like protein at the active site. Further the DNA contains the non-natural endonuclease restriction site, which is absent in the nucleotide sequence encoding said domain areas, in the nucleotide sequence encoding the interdomain areas.
