Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a new DNA fragment useful for enhancing gene amplifying effects.
CONSTITUTION: The DNA fragment contains a gene participating in the function governing the autonomous replication of a plasmid in a Coryneform bacterium derived from a plasmid pBY503 held by Brevibacterium stationis IFO12144 and has a variation site, capable of increasing the number of copies of the plasmid and present in at least one site in the gene. This DNA fragment is obtained by separating a cleaved fragment of the plasmid after causing the increase in the number of the copies after the modification by the variation inducing treatment.
