Title:
DNA FRAGMENT CONTAINING TOLUENE MONOOXYGENASE GENE, RECOMBINANT PLASMID, TRANSFORMED MICROORGANISM, DECOMPOSITION OF CHLORINATED ALIPHATIC HYDROCARBON AND AROMATIC COMPOUNDS, CLEANING OF CONTAMINATED MEDIUM AND REPAIR OF CONTAMINATED ENVIRONMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2000197492
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a novel DNA fragment that includes the gene of toluene monooxygenase, and is useful for producing enzymes for cleaning aqueous medium contaminated with hydrocarbons, repair of polluted soil and for cleaning polluted air.

This is a DNA fragment of about 5.8kb including toluene monooxygenase gene, has the following cleavage sites by restriction enzymes: BamHI: 1, EcoRI: 2, HpaI: 1, KpnI: 1, NcoI: 1, NspV: 1, SacI: 1, SmaI: 2, SphI: 3, XhoI: 2, ClaI: 0, DraI: 0, EcoRV: 0, HindIII: 0, NdeI: 0, NheI: 0, PvuII: 0, ScaI: 0, Sse8387I: 0, StuI: 0, XbaI: 0 and has the restriction map given to the formula and is useful in cleaning the waste water, soil and the air including chlorinated aliphatic hydrocarbons and aromatic compounds. This DNA fragment derives from Burkholderia cepacia.
