Abstract:
To provide a docking device that enables users to recognize docking completion as holding down manufacturing costs, and to provide an electronic instrument that includes a portable information instrument and docking device.SOLUTION: A docking device 10 comprises an impact sound generation mechanism 41 that, when a portable information instrument 12A is placed in an instrument loading part 34, generates an impact sound, and the impact sound generation mechanism 41 has: a detector 40 that detects placement of the portable information instrument 12A in an instrument loading part 34; a back and forth slider 82 that slides in a first direction when the portable information instrument 12A is detected; a movable member 84 that has a reception part 84a to be depressed by a depression piece 90 of the back and forth slider 82; a guide hole 84b provided in one of the movable member 84 and a device housing 37; a guide pin 98 that is provided in the other thereof; an elastic member 86 that is installed at an attitude in which an expansion/shrinking direction of the elastic member tilts with respect to a slide direction of the back and forth slider 82; and a batted pedestal 88 that is batted by a batting part 84c provided in an outer side face of the movable member 84.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5A
