Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single cell edible oil containing DHA.
SOLUTION: The single cell edible oil containing a triglyceride is produced by using a dinoflagellate, preferably Cryptecodinium cohnii as a source. DHA accounts for ≥20% of the oil. More preferably, the single cell edible oil has a triglyceride content of ≥70% and contains DHA accounting for ≥30% of the triglyceride.
