Abstract:
To provide a doctor blade for a paper machine, etc., and a method for producing the doctor blade while preventing the generation of scum on the circumference of a roll surface.
The doctor blade contacting its blade edge 1a with the surface of a roll to scrape off the material attached to the surface of the roll is made of a fiber-reinforced material produced by impregnating a matrix material into reinforcing fibers 1. The part of the reinforcing fiber 1 corresponding to the blade edge 1a is oriented in one direction perpendicular to the roll surface.
