Abstract:
To provide a system for converting a large-scale document such as a book into voice content through voice synthesis.SOLUTION: A user terminal 2 connects to a server 1 via a communication network N. The server 1 includes: means for separately extracting table-of-content information from a script document to index the table-of-content information; means for transmitting the indexed table-of-content information to the user terminal 2; means for transmitting a main body corresponding to a table-of-content or the like selected from the user terminal 2 to the user terminal 2; and means for converting the main body divided into small segments into a voice for transmission to the user terminal 2. The user terminal 2 includes: means for selecting a desired place in the table-of-content information for transmission to the server 1; means for receiving text of the place and a voice generated by voice synthesis from the server 1; and means for outputting the received voice data in synchronization with the text.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
