Abstract:
To provide a document conveying device that can smoothly convey a small-size document and a hard document with a large basis weight and read images of the documents.SOLUTION: A document conveying device 1 comprises: a linear first conveyance path 31 on which a document placed on a paper feed tray is conveyed; a first reading unit 47 that reads an image of one face of the document conveyed on the first conveyance path 31; a second conveyance path 32 in a curved shape that is branched from the first conveyance path 31 at a branch point on the downstream side of the first reading unit 47 in a document conveyance direction; a linear third conveyance path 33 that is branched from the first conveyance path 31 at the branch point and extends along the same direction as an extension direction of the first conveyance path 31; a branch guide 81 that is provided at the branch point and guides the document to one of the second conveyance path 32 and the third conveyance path 33; and a storage unit 60 to which a third reading unit 61 that reads an image of the other face of the document conveyed on the third conveyance path 33 is removably attached along a width direction orthogonal to the conveyance direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
