Abstract:
PURPOSE:To automatically feed a line when a comma appears in the vicinity of the end of the line by specifying line feed at the time of detecting a comma within an automatic comma line feed area at the time of inputting characters or during the edition of a document, and editing the succeeding character string from the head of the succeeding line. CONSTITUTION:A 'KANA' (Japanese syllabary) inputted from a keyboard 1 is converted into 'KANJI' (Chinese character) by an input conversion processing part 10 and the converted character strings are stored in a document buffer 11. When a comma is detected by a comma detecting means 5 at the time of extracting characters from the buffer 11, a next character line feed checking part checks whether the next character is to be applied to line feed or not. In case of line feed, a document edition control part 9 continues the edition, and in case of no line feed, an automatic comma line feed control part 7 checks whether a comma is positioned within the range of automatic line feed or not based on format information 13 and the automatic comma line feed area. When the comma is not positioned within the range, the control part 9 continues the edition, and when the comma is included within the range, line feed is transferred to the control part under control based upon a line feed generating part 8 and the edition is continued.
