To provide a document falsification verification system for preventing documents from being contaminated due to peeling of a toner of a ground pattern when a document feeding roller starts to rotate: and to provide a file server used for this system.

The document falsification verification system includes: a printer 3 for printing character information on a sheet with a ground pattern as a background; a scanner 5 having an automatic document feeding mechanism 4 and setting a document d on the automatic document feeding mechanism 4 to continuously read image information; and an falsification verification device 6 for extracting the secret information of the ground pattern from the image information read by the scanner 5 and collating the extracted secret information with secret information embedded in printing to verify whether or not the document d has been falsified. When the falsification of the character information near a portion where the document feeding roller of an ADF 4 initially abut has been found at the end of the sheet forwarding direction, the falsification verification device 6 controls the printer 3 to set a margin at the end of the sheet so as to include the portion where the document feeding roller initially abuts and the ground pattern is printed.
