Abstract:
To provide a document feeding device that raises and lowers a feeding tray according to the number of stacked documents while ensuring proper document feeding.SOLUTION: A document feeding device 16 includes an elevating unit 45 that vertically elevates a feeding tray 36 while maintaining its posture. The elevating unit 45 includes: a slide drive unit 50 that reciprocates a pair of sliders 55 provided on an ejection tray 37; a pair of first link portions 61 obliquely laid across the feeding tray 36 and the pair of sliders 55; and a pair of second link portions 62 that are obliquely installed between the feeding tray 36 and the ejection tray 37 and connected to the first link portions 61 by a cross shaft 65, in which when the slider 55 is brought close to a lower end of the second link portion 62, the link portions 61 and 62 rotate about the cross shaft 65 so as to raise the feeding tray 36, and when the slider 55 is moved away from the lower end of the second link portion 62, the link portions 61 and 62 rotate about the cross shaft 65 so as to lower the feeding tray 36.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
