PURPOSE: To facilitate discrimination, by a method wherein information such as the expiring month of the term of validity is printed on a ticket paper in a desired color by a printing color information table or a printing color designating means, and a ticket is issued, in a commutation ticket printing and issuing machine or the like.
CONSTITUTION: When input information (a) from a starting station, course and destination designating device 2 and a condition-setting part 5 is inputted, a CPU31 displays the information on a CRT display device 3, edits a printing pattern of dot matrix, and information stored in the printing color information table (memory) 32, e.g., the expiring month of the term of validity, is introduced to determine the printing color (black for January to March, green for April to June, etc.), and the information is printed on a ticket paper by an encoding part 33 and yellow, cyan and magenta printing parts 17AW17C. In addition, information such as commutation or attending school, period division, the presence or absence of discount and the distinction of sex can be stored in the table 32, and further, the printer can be applied to tickets other than commutation tickets, e.g., admission tickets.
