CONSTITUTION: When the moving instruction of character data or the cursor is inputted by an inputting means M1, a document data display controlling means M3 moves the cursor K on document data DB displayed on a displaying means M1. Next, a scale cursor movement controlling means M4 moves a scale cursor SK on a scale line SL according to moved cursor position. At that time, if the means M3 is in a state to be moving the cursor continuously, the scale cursor stopping means M5 stops the movement of the cursor SK, and restarts the movement of the cursor SK at the point of time the continuous movement of the cursor K is finished. Thus, the cursor moving time at the time of the high speed inputting of the data can be shortened, and the cursor K can be moved quickly correspondingly to the input of the data, and in addition, the high speed inputting of the data can be realized.
