To provide a document holder for a file, which is capable of taking out a document from the file or filing the same into the file easily without releasing or opening any metallic fitting of the file and, further, having no fear of dropping the document, received in the document holder, simply due to the weight of the same.

The document holder, made of a flexible plastic and provided with a pair of upper and lower holes 2a, 2b for penetrating the metallic fittings of the file, which are formed on the side rim 1 of one side, is provided with a pair of upper and lower cut-ins 4a, 4b from respective side rim cutting parts 3a, 3b to respective holes 2a, 2b, which are formed so as to have the symmetrical form of upper and lower lines, while a pair of upper and lower engaging tongue pieces 5a, 5b, engaged with the metallic fittings of the file through the cut-ins, are formed on the side rim 1 of one side.
