To provide a document holder which uses a translucent paper material to upgrade the texture of the holder and can be easily recycled so that the holder is friendly to environments.

The document holder (10) has sheet pieces (12 and 13), for inserting/keeping documents (P), which are of toughened glassine paper type. A transparent ink is preferably applied to the surface of the toughened glassine paper and the surface of the toughened glssine paper may be embossed. Since the sheet pieces (12 and 13) are formed of the toughened glassine paper, the document holder (10) can be successfully recycled and therefore, can hardly be a burden on the environments. In addition, the document holder (10) can enhance its texture as the unique material feeling peculiar to paper can be imparted to the surface of the sheets (12 and 13). Further, since the surface of the toughened glassine paper is translucent. the holder (10) shows excellent visibility of the documents kept inside the holder (10) and also successful ease of its use during arranging and keeping the documents.
