To provide a document management device and a document management program that allow automatical performing of the operation of inputting and registering document management information while visually checking document information displayed, without using a dedicated bar code reader, and that achieve the function of deleting the document information by canceling the registered document management information after checking the information displayed.
A server device 1 of the document management device includes an HD 104 for storing document files equipped with two-dimensional codes made of symbolic codes and for registering management information about the document files equipped with the two-dimensional codes to be managed; and a display 106 for displaying the contents of the document files equipped with the two-dimensional codes. The document files equipped with the two-dimensional codes are displayed on the display 106 and their contents displayed are recognized. The two-dimensional codes in the contents recognized are analyzed. When they are the two-dimensional codes to be managed, the management information about the document files equipped with the two-dimensional codes is registered in the HD 104.
