Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a method by which the length of a transmission line associated with such a structure that limits the frequency band at its far end can be measured with high accuracy.
CONSTITUTION: For a transmission line B associated with such a structure A that limits the frequency band at is far end, the waveforms of reflected waves from the transmission line B only and those from the transmission line B and structure A are observed 11 and 13 and transfer functions 12 and 14 which can separately show the frequency band limiting factor that occurs between the incident and far ends and the frequency band limiting factor locally existing at the far end are found by using both observation data and the propagation delay time 15 of the line B is found by using the functions 12 and 14.
