Abstract:
To provide a device which can display a menu without any user's complicated operation by detecting a storage medium being loaded and displaying a menu for instructing the storage medium to save or read a file of a document, etc.
A CPU 101 detects whether or not a floppy disk drive controller 109 gives notice of the loading of a floppy disk 111 or whether or not a smart media controller 112 gives notice of the loading of a smart medium 114. The CPU 101 once detecting the notice displays a document saving and reading menu. This menu is stored in an internal memory 102. Namely, the CPU 101 calls the document saving and reading menu stored in the internal memory 102 and displays the menu on an LCD 106.
