This processor is equipped with the document processing part 2 which is installed in a device cabinet 1 having a slot 1a and processes a document S input to be processed from the slot 1a of the device cabinet 1, and a switch device 3 which is arranged at a surface of the device cabinet 1 and operates the document processing part 2, and this switch device 3 has an operation switch 4 movable along a pre-determined basic operation direction, and a safety mechanism 5 which prohibits operation of the document processing part 2 only by this basic operation of the operation switch 4, and starts to operate the document processing part 2 through an additional operation different from the basic operation in addition to the basic operation of the operation switch 4.
