Title:
DOCUMENT READER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3471131
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the duplication of apparatus to reduce the occupied area by making a turn unit, where documents are returned from an automatic feeder to a stacker through a scanner, attachable/detachable and connecting a microfilmer at need.
SOLUTION: A document 34 from an automatic feeder 12 has picture data read by a bar code reader 36, an OCR 42, and an image scanner 44. Thereafter, it is sent backward by a turn unit 16, which is detachably attached at the rear of the scanner 10, and is collected in a stacker 18. A multisorter 22 may be connected instead of the turn unit 16 at need. Read picture data is stored in an optical disk 32 or a PC/WS 30. When the microfilm photographing function is added, the microfilmer is interposed between the scanner 10 and the turn unit 16. Since the unit is added at need in this manner, other units can be used as they are, and the diversity of combination and duplication of apparatus are eliminated to reduce the occupied space.
