To provide a document stand where the depth of a placing part can be adjusted according to the thickness of documents etc. and the length of a tilting part can be adjusted corresponding to the height of the documents etc., and which is suitable for portable use so that it is folded compactly while its horizontal width is made narrow when the stand is not used.

The stand consists of: support parts provided on surfaces respectively opposing to a pair of right and left leg parts in a foldable manner; through holes formed on the side surfaces of the leg parts in a foldable manner when the support parts are folded; inclined parts which can be stood and laid on the top surfaces of the leg parts; inclination support parts which supports the inclination of the inclined parts and which can be stood and laid; and recess parts for housing the inclined support parts when laying the inclined support parts. At the front end parts of the leg parts, the placing part slidable in the longitudinal direction of the leg parts is provided. In addition, the inclined part is constituted to be freely slidable in the longitudinal direction.
