Abstract:

PURPOSE: A dog food that is prepared by adding a small amount of bone marrow of bovine to the starting material for dog food, thus matching the behaviors of dogs in both smell and tast senses and stimulating their appetite strongly.

CONSTITUTION: Bone marrow from bovines is mixed with starting materials for dog food, e.g., of dry or semi-dry type by 0.2W0.5%. Then, the mixture is kneaded with a silent cutter, formed into cubes and dried with heat to give the objective dog food. The above-mentioned starting materials contain 20W40% of meat meal, 20W30% of cereals, 8W10% of wheat flour, 8W10% of corn starch, 4W5% of gluten, 1W1.5% of gelatin and 30W40% of bone powder. Meanwhile, the marrow is obtained by collecting from fresh spines or ribs of milk cows or labor oxes and grinding it into a paste.
