Abstract:
To provide a dog clutch capable of suppressing the total deflection of a waiting spring in engagement.SOLUTION: A dog clutch 1 comprises: a piece 11 and a sleeve 13 that can rotate relative to each other coaxially; a dog tooth 12 provided on the piece 11; a dog tooth 14 provided on the sleeve 13, and engaged with the dog tooth 12 by the relative movement of the piece 11 and the sleeve 13 in an axial direction; and a waiting spring 15 provided on the dog tooth 14 and energizing the dog tooth 14 in the axial direction. The waiting spring 15 has an inflection point where Expression (1) always is established within the operating range of the dog clutch 1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
