The dome-shaped camera 1 includes: a camera lens 6 capable of rotating in the direction of tilt; a dome camera 3 for covering the camera lens 6; and a diaphragm control part 9 for controlling an amount by which the diaphragm of the camera lens 6 is restricted. The amount by which the diaphragm of the camera lens 6 is restricted is set so as to decrease toward a value corresponding to a closed state from a value corresponding to an open state, according to the angle by which the camera lens 6 is tilted, which decreases from the direction of the top of the dome cover 3 toward a horizontal direction.
