Title:
HOT ROLLED STEEL PLATE EXCELLENT IN WEAR RESISTANCE AND ITS PRODUCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3217621
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To inexpensively produce a hot rolled steel plate excellent in wear resistance by specifying a composition consisting of C, Si, Mn, P, S, Al and Fe, surface roughness and hardness, respectively.
CONSTITUTION: In the hot rolled steel plate having a composition consisting of ≤0.20% C, ≤0.10% Si, ≤2.50% Mn, ≤0.10% P, ≤0.03% S, ≤0.10% sol.Al, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurity elements, surface roughness is regulated to ≤8μm by Rmax and also the value, given by subtracting the hardness in the central layer from the hardness in the layer at a depth of 0.1mm from the surface, is regulated to ≤20 by Vickers hardness (Hv10g). This hot rolled steel plate can be obtained by subjecting a steel having this composition to refining, continuous casting, and to ordinary hot strip hot rolling and then subjecting the resultant hot rolled steel plate to acid picking and then to skin pass rolling at 5-10% draft per pass and at 5-30% total draft.
