To prevent the pull-in of an object by the door of an elevator from being erroneously detected.
This door controller of an elevator opens/closes, by a motor 9, a door which forms the gap between itself and a receptacle for the door at the entrance of the elevator. The door controller comprises: an object proximity detection means for receiving an object detection signal when an object proximity detector detects an article approaching near the gap; a motor load detection means for detecting whether a load to open/close the door which is applied to the motor 9 is excessive or not; and a pull-in determination means for determining that the object is not pulled into the gap when the motor load detection means does not detect the overload of the motor after the object proximity detection means receives the object detection signal, and for determining that the object is pulled into the gap when the motor load detection means detects the overload of the motor 9 after the object proximity detection means receives the object detection signal.
