To provide a door device of an elevator capable of attracting attention of users by allowing them to recognize the presence of a safety shoe and enhancing convenience by allowing them to recognize the direction of the movement of the car.
A light emitting device 20 formed of a plurality of vertically arranged LEDs 21 is installed at the projecting side edge of a safety shoe 16 fitted to a door panel 15a. When a car 6 arrives at an elevator landing and the door panel 15a is opened and closed, the LEDs 21 of the light emitting device 20 are illuminated in the pattern that indicates the direction of the movement of the car 6 after the car arrives at the landing, namely, the pattern where they are illuminated in order from the uppermost LED 21 toward the lowermost LED 21 when the direction of the movement of the car 6 after the car arrives at the landing is downward and the pattern where they are illuminated in order from the lowermost LED 21 toward the uppermost LED 21 when the direction of the movement of the car 6 after the car arrives at the landing is upward.
