To provide a door device which can be installed to an individual chamber in an existing public lavatory simply at low cost and which eliminates the need of a user for touching a key prior to washing of hands.
The door device for the individual chamber in a public lavatory, with its exit and entrance in the public lavatory formed, is provided with a stopper member which is disposed on the inner surface of a wall adjacent to the door tip end side when the door is in a closed position, can be projected toward the exit direction and retracted reversely, always urged to the projecting direction and prevents the door in the closed position from turing from the closed position toward the opening position when the stopper member is in the projecting position, and with a door opening means which is disposed on the inner surface lower position of the wall wherein the stopper member is arranged, connected to the stopper member for moving the stopper member to the retracting direction by stepping down of an open door pedal.
