To provide a door opening/closing device which dispenses with a special switching device for switching between a manual operation mode and a power operation mode, is simple in structure, light in weight, and low in cost.
According to the structure of the door opening/closing device, a drum 1 for opening/closing a door by unwinding or winding a door towing cable, and a driving gear 2 connected to an output shaft of a motor 5 are arranged such that their rotating surfaces are opposed to each other, and when a drum protrusion 8 and a gear protrusion 11 formed on the respective opposed surfaces, abut on each other, rotation force of the driving gear 2 is transferred to the drum 1, to thereby rotate the drum forward/backward. When the driving gear 2 is in stoppage, the drum protrusion 8 and the gear protrusion 11 do not abut on each other, and therefore by using a region in which the drum 1 is freely rotatable, the door is made manually openable/closable.
