PURPOSE: To make the door open and shut properly and improve the external appearance by covering with a screening member a space formed between a screen and a vertical projecting wall provided at the edge of the unhinged side of a first of a pair of doors of the type of French doors.

CONSTITUTION: A door device 1 is composed of a first door 4 and a second door 5 in a manner of French doors. Vertical projecting walls 8, 9 are formed respectively at the left and right sides of the first door 4 and a shelf is provided between the two vertical projecting walls 8, 9. A screening body 11 is provided at the edge 4a of the unhinged sick. This screening body 11 consists of a rod- shaped body having a rectangular section and formed to a length a little shorter than the inside height of the insulating casing 2. The screening body 11 is provided along the vertical projecting wall 8 on the side of the unhinged edge 4a. A projecting part 20 functioning as a screening member is provided in a manner of being projected from the crest of the vertical projecting wall 8 toward the edge 4a of the unhinged side and, when a fastening claw 17 of the screening body 11 is locked with a fastening piece 15 of the vertical projecting wall 8, having the forward end of the fastening claw 17 substantially in alignment with the surface of a steel plate 13 of the screening body 11.
