PURPOSE: To provide a see-through window in a vehicle door, which can elevate a windshield pane without substantially increasing the manipulation force or a drive force, and which can satisfactorily maintain the field of vision even though water invades the inside of the door along the windshield pane in the closed door window, and which can smoothly vent outboard water trapped in the door while can prevent entrance of water, streak air, dust or the like into the passenger compartment even though only one see-through shield pane is used.

CONSTITUTION: See-through windows 19, 20 attached thereto with windshield panes 31 are provided below a door window into and from which an elevatable door windshield pane 27 extends or retracts, and the door windshield pane overlaps with a part of the see-through windshield panes when it is lowered. The door windshield pane passes through an opening 37 defined in the door by the peripheral edges of the see-through window 20 when it is lowered. A seal member which openably closes the opening closes the opening at least at the time when the door windshield pane closes the door window, and opens the opening at least at the time when the door windshield pane is lowered so as to overlap with the see-through windshield pane.
