Abstract:
To provide a door latch device for vehicle that prevents rain water from entering an outer cable of a Bowden cable.SOLUTION: The door latch device includes an operating handle 3, a door latch mechanism 2, a Bowden cable 4, and an elastic cap 7. The operating handle 3 is provided on a door. The door latch mechanism 2 is attached in the door. The Bowden cable 4 has an outer cable 41 and an inner cable 42. One end of the outer cable 41 is fixed near the operating handle 3 and the other end is fixed to the door latch mechanism 2. The inner cable 42 is inserted into the outer cable 41, and one upward end of the inner cable 42 is connected to the operating handle 3 and the other end is connected to a release lever 24 of the door latch mechanism 2. The elastic cap 7 is provided on one end of the outer cable 41, and has a cylindrical covering part that covers in an extending manner the inner cable 42, which extends from the one end of the outer cable 41, along the movement direction of the inner cable 42.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
