This door lock device for the vehicle receiving a signal from the portable transmitter 21 and at least locking the doors based on the received signal is provided with a locking means for monitoring a signal detected by door courtesy switches 5 to 8 when a demand for locking the door is sent from the transmitter 21 while the door on a driver's seat side is closed and controlling a door lock actuator 9 when all the doors provided in the vehicle are closed to lock all the doors.
