Abstract:
PURPOSE: To restrain a degree of projection of a drive part forward of a vehicle by rotating a rotary plate so as to raise a striker toward an original position simultaneously with movement of a hook member of a lock member for releasing the striker.
CONSTITUTION: When a luggage door 52 is turned downward from its opening condition so as to engage a lock member with a straight part 37 of a striker 37, an electric motor rotates so that a hook member lock the striker 37. Simultaneously, an electric motor normally 26 normally rotates so that a sector gear 34 is rotated through a speed reduction part 27 and a pinion 28, and accordingly, a left arm part 14a of a rotary plate is turned to lower the lock member 2 engaged with the striker 37. Further, the luggage door is retracted into a vehicle body so as to leftward move a seal part which is therefore locked. In such a door locking condition, when a release switch is manipulated, the hook member of the lock member is moved in a reverse direction so as to release the striker 37. Simultaneously, the electric motor 26 is reversed so that the rotary plate 14 raises the striker 37 toward an initial position.
