To provide a door lock for which the attitude of latch can be easily reversed and also this lock can be attached even to a door which can be used for both the left and right suspension types.
By turning the door handle 90, this door lock is able to advance and retreat a latch 40 by its latch drive mechanism 60; the latch 40 can be made freely rotatable and is formed with a tip head portion 40F having a large diameter and a rear end portion 40R having a smaller diameter; a recessed portion 40a is formed at the tip head portion 40F, a reverse spring member 71 for exerting the latch 40 to the rear side is inserted to a rear end portion 40R, the tip end of a rod piece 95 is inserted to the recessed portion 40a, the latch 40 is pulled out against the exertion of the reverse spring member 71 to a constant length with its rear end portion 40R projected out from the door 10, its right and left are reversed, when the tip of the rod piece 95 is pulled out, the latch 40 is pulled back by the exertion of the reversed spring member 71, and a state of reversion between the left and right occurs.
