Abstract:
PURPOSE: To allow a user to select an action of opening a door utilizing the ejecting force of a recording medium or an action of conveying the recording medium to a position immediately before the ejection thereof with the door left closed by simplifying an ejecting operation of the recording medium.
CONSTITUTION: Video tape recorder 1 has an opening 3 for loading or unloading a tape cassette 2 and a door 4 for covering it in front thereof and the closing of the door 4 is kept by magnetic attraction with a magnet 6. When a pawl 7 provided on the internal surface of the door 4 is made to project, the tape cassette 2 is conveyed during the ejection of the tape cassette 2 and an end part 2a thereof contacts the pawl 7 to open the door 4. When the pawl 7 is not made to project, the end part 2a of the tape cassette 2 fails to contact the pawl 7 and the door 4 is kept closed as the conveying of the tape cassette 2 is stopped.
