PURPOSE: To eliminate a troublesome fine adjustment of timing by electrically controlling a full stop just before the opening and closing operations are over, deceleration and a suspension of a drive source when the opening and closing operations are over, without using a cam and the like for opening/closing a sliding type door for the entrance of a vehicle.

CONSTITUTION: A door closing means is disposed along the upper end periphery of an entrance, a door is fixed to a suitable position 3a of a timing belt 3 which is stretched so as to be installed on pulleys 1 and 2 in an endless manner, and the door 3 fixedly attached to the timing belt 3 is thereby opened/closed by normally and/or reversely operating one pulley 1 by a motor M. A presser piece 4 is fixed on the opposite side of the belt, and toggle switches 5, 6 and 7 located in the course of movement are pressed so as to be turned on/off in the process of the movement of the belt in the right and left directions. The switch 7 located at the center causes the door to come to a full stop just before the door reaches a closing or a releasing position, and causes the door to be then decelerated so as to be closed or released, and the switches 5 and 6 located at both the ends causes the motor M to be turned off when the door reaches a closing or a releasing position.
