To prevent a door from being held in an opened state against one's will in a hinged door provided with a door closer with stop mechanism.
The door opening preventing device 1 is attached to a door stop 7 of the hinged door provided with the door closer with the stop mechanism. When the door 4 is turned to an open position side beyond a stop standard position S, a tip 9 of the door opening preventing device 1 elastically deforms, and temporarily, a stop function of the door closer functions, and the door 4 is held in an open position. Then, by elastic force of the door opening preventing device 1, the door 4 is pushed back to a close position side beyond the stop standard position S, the stop function is released, and the door 4 returns to a close position. By this, the door 4 is prevented from being held in an opened position against one's will, and efficiency deterioration of air conditioning is prevented. By turning the door opening preventing device 1 to a non-operation position, and abutting a cylinder part 8 on the door 4, operation of the stop function is maintained, and the door 4 can be held in the open position.
