Abstract:

To provide a door operating appliance for a vehicle capable of improving the operability when manually opening or closing a vehicle door after electrically once opening or closing the door.

This door operating appliance for vehicle is equipped with a driving motor 71 capable of generating a driving force for operating a sliding door; an electromagnetic clutch 20 installed between the sliding door and the driving motor 71 for switching on the power transmission between them only when required; and an ECU 29 for driving and controlling the driving motor 71 and the electromagnetic clutch 20. The electromagnetic clutch 20 is equipped with a rotor integrated with an electromagnetic coil unit and also an armature. The ECU 29 is able to operate the driving motor 71 after turning off the power to the electromagnetic coil unit after operating the driving motor 71 so as to perform either opening or closing operation for the sliding door.
