Title:
DOOR FOR REFRIGERATED SHOWCASE HAVING SEE-THROUGH ENSURING PROPERTY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH09229546
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To expedite drying even in case where a large quantity of water droplets adhere to a surface of a transparent door base material for a refrigerated showcase, and prevent fogging on the surface from being developed immediately before drying by forming a surface layer containing substantially transparent photocatalytic particles on the outer surface of the door base material for the refrigerated showcase, which has a transparent portion provided with a heater.

The outside surface of a door for a refrigerated showcase having see-through encuring properties has a layer containing photocatalytic particles formed on the surface of a glass base material, and a heater is mounted on the rear face of the glass base material, or a thin film is formed between the glass base material and the layer containing the photocatalytic particles. According to such a surface structure, the surface of the door for the refrigerated showcase is made highly hydrophilic in response to optical excitation by the photocatalytic particles. Accordingly, even in the case where moisture in an atmosphere is condensed to adhere to the surface, the moisture is uniformly formed into a water film shape without growing into the form of water droplets, and drying by the heater can be promoted. Further, since the surface is dried without water droplets being held at the time of drying, fogging on the surface can be prevented from being developed immediately before drying.
