PURPOSE: To obtain such a door stop having a buffer efficiency, a low collision sound with a door, excellent in airtightness and sound insulating efficiency, easily detached and not easily influenced by a size error of fitting channels in a door frame.
CONSTITUTION: A door stop 1 is constituted of a longer bar-shaped body 2, a plurality of buffering elastic tongue pieces 3 projected from one side of the body and a plurality of force-fit legs 4 projected from the sides of a door frame of the body 2. The whole door stop is a monolithic moulding of foamable vinyl chloride resin. Force-fit of the force-fit legs in the fitting channels 22 formed in the door frame 21 is made to fix then to the door frame 21. Projecting edges 9 are formed on both edges of the surface brought into contact with the door frame 21 of the body 2 and are made to adhere to the door frame 21. The elastic tongue pieces are brought into contact with a door while deforming them elastically, so that the door stop has high buffer efficiency, a low collision sound, and excellent airtightness and sound insulating efficiency. The door stop is mounted to the door frame by pushing it against the fitting channels with simple work.
