To provide a door stopper unit which allows the user to always arrange an engaging member of a main body at any location convenient for operation of the user when the user desires to stop a door, and reduces the frequency of malfunction thereof in a door stopping position.
The door stopper unit 100 is comprised of an engaging member moving mechanism 60 and a switch portion 37. The engaging member moving mechanism 60 moves an engaging member 5 between an engagement allowable location where the unit can engage with a door-side engaged portion 3 and a storage location where the unit is stored in a storage portion 13 formed in the unit main body 4. The switch portion 37 activates the engaging member moving mechanism 60 in order to move the engaging member 5 from the storage location to the engagement allowable location upon abutment of the door 1. When the door 1 is opened to abut on the switch portion 31, the engaging member moving mechanism 60 moves the engaging member 5 from the storage location to the engagement allowable location. Therefore, if the user desires to stop the door 1, the engaging member 5 of the main body can be always arranged at the location convenient for operation of the user. Further, the unit can be provided with an uprightness holding mechanism 80 for holding the engaging member 5 in an upright position at the engagement allowable location, and therefore by erecting and laying the engaging member 5 assuming the upright position toward the engaged portion 3 of the door, the former can engage with the latter.
