Title:
DOOR WEATHERSTRIP
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH08216687
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve the easiness of insertion by forming a sub-solid rubber part at the outdoor side projected part of a base part of a door weatherstrip in which a main solid rubber part is formed in the outdoor side pillar part of a hollow seal part while a sponge rubber part is sandwiched between the main solid rubber part and the sub-solid rubber part.

CONSTITUTION: A main solid rubber part Tc is formed at the outdoor side pillar part of a hollow seal part 7 which is integrally connected to a base part 2c fitted into a door sash 21 through a retainer 9, and its indoor side 25 and outdoor side 26, and elastically installed together with the rim part 11 of a body panel opening-edge 10, and a sub-solid rubber part Td is formed at the outdoor side projected part 2e of the base part 2c, while a sponge rubber part S is sandwiched between the main solid rubber part Tc and it. Thus, the rigidity of this part is increased, and when the weatherstrip is loaded to be fitted into the triner 9, the outdoor side projected part 2e of the base part 2c is prevented from being bent to be caught by the projection part 9a of the retainer 9. The easiness of insertion is thus improved without strengthening the force for insertion.
