Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain a dope-dyed polyester fiber for seat belt, having a high strength and durable smoothness and capable of producing a seat belt without requirement of dyeing treatment or resin treatment.
CONSTITUTION: This dope-dyed polyester fiber for seat belt is made of polyethylene terephthalate having ≥0.85 intrinsic viscosity, has ≥8.5g/d strength and contains a pigment. To the fiber surface, ≥0.02wt.% polyester-based lubricant obtained from polyoxyethylene glycol and phthalic acid is applied and a seat belt fabric woven therefrom has ≥50% slip factor.
