Abstract:

To provide a device for estimating information on pressure in an observation face from information obtained by a Doppler method.

A Doppler speed distribution computing part 12 computes the distribution of Doppler speed within an observation face by applying well-known Doppler processing to a pulse Doppler receive signal obtained by an ultrasonic measuring part 10. A B-mode Doppler acceleration computing part 14 estimates the distribution of speed components in an orthogonal direction to the beam direction in the observation face from the distribution of Doppler speed. The B-mode Doppler acceleration Adb of each point in the observation face is computed using the estimated result. A Doppler pressure distribution computing part 16 computes Doppelr pressure pd of each point in the observation face on the basis of the distribution of the B-mode Doppler acceleration Adb. A display part 18 displays the distribution of Doppler pressure pd in a superposed state on a B-mode tomographic image.
